I've only had it a couple weeks, but it does the job. Beware though, the one that I received was not easily adjustable if it ever was to be adjustable. It is easy to pop the caps off the ends, but the crimp on the end would not fit through the narrow area of the handle and it never came with extra crimps like I think someone reviewed. To make it adjustable, I had to lightly step on the handle and pull the rope through the rope end. Now that the crimp was free of the rope, I was able to let it fall out. You may be able to reuse it, but I just tied the rope into a knot at the length that I wanted and so far no problems. I only did it to one side as it doesn't seem necessary to do it to both.
